5TH ROOM - ON THE TABLE

 

The cloth on the banquet table becomes a projection screen and the objects on it come alive. The painting’s frozen, two-dimensional details are thus transformed into video reproductions of actions that have actually taken place, the viewer’s perception of the scene is vivid and immediate, and the painting’s symbolic meanings are intensified.
