6TH ROOM - INDIVIDUAL FIGURES
This space is devoted to the apostles. Two holographic plates occupy either end of the room like the symbolic edges of a book cover that contains twelve chapters, each one related to one of the apostles. The bust of Christ is projected onto the holographic plate at the entrance just as he appears in the celebrated painting though reconstructed and filmed as though shot from behind, in turn making it seem like the spectator is entering from behind the table and behind Christ. The plate at the other end of the room presents the figure of Christ as seen in the painting, from the front. The two images are unstable and a unique relationship is created between the two screens. After some time, the images transform into one another and exchange places in a continuous game of replacement and perspective. The twelve apostles, on the other hand, are presented in twelve panels printed on a surface that recalls the cracked plaster of the wall. Eight informational stations organized into groups of three allow visitors to analyze the twelve apostles as they are described by books devoted to them. They simply have to touch one of the books for it to open and the corresponding panel to light up.
