4TH ROOM - GROUNDED IMAGE

 

The main image of the exhibition.The painting is set on the floor, thus allowing visitors to approach it in a totally new way.Here the interpretation is poetic and the narration is cinematographic.The images are accompanied by the poem Ode per la morte di un capolavoro (Death of a Masterpiece) by Gabriele D’Annunzio.The image is presented with details that constantly zoom in and out and moments of unstable equilibrium that let the visitor “sail” through the painting.Through a support that recalls Leonardo’s “perspectometer” visitors can take “photos” of the film using their electronic ticket to capture the moments that most intrigue them. They will later receive these images via email so that they can continue to experience the show on the web. Visitors are also invited to leave their own testimony as a “thirteenth witness” using the virtual keyboard on the information display table
